Porteleira Wines

Alvarinho Wine

The Soul of Our Wines

A complex profile of mineral freshness, bearing the distinctive signature of Monção and Melgaço.

With its straw-yellow colour and intense aroma, our Alvarinho reveals a smooth, full-bodied, and persistent palate, complemented by distinctive mineral and citrus notes. This unique 20-hectare production is entrusted to the renowned winemaker Anselmo Mendes, who guarantees an excellent wine-tourism experience at Quinta da Porteleira.

The historic Porteleira vineyard, situated in Alto Minho Vinhateiro and dating back to the 18th century, is notable for its advantageous altitude and exposure. Its slopes shape slow, complex maturation, giving rise to a wine that expresses the excellence of the art of winemaking in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço.
